If you're wondering how I choose your Biz Fu Master coaches, here's what I'm looking for:
[li class="badge-div"][icon]1[/icon]Tons of micro-business experience. I prefer that coaches have more failures than successes. One lucky homerun doesn't teach an m-bizzer much. I want to know that they've spent beaucoup time in the School of Hard Knocks.[/li]

[li class="badge-div"][icon]2[/icon]Still in the micro-biz game. I look for people who have micro-businesses going right now. I don't want full-time coaches. I want part-timers who're working their own micro-business while serving as a coach.[/li]

[li class="badge-div"][icon]3[/icon]Phenomenal life coaching skills. At first, it seems like we're working on a person's business. Pretty quick, it becomes obvious we're also working on a person's life skills. Don't worry about it. You'll see what I mean. I pick only the best-of-the-best life coaches, each one with loads of experience and talent.[/li]

[li class="badge-div"][icon]4[/icon]Looking for coaching themselves. I'm still getting micro-biz coaching (from wherever I can get it) and so are the Biz Fu coaches. Looking for solid feedback is a life-long commitment for this team.[/li]
What I'm NOT looking for when I choose a Biz Fu Master coach:
[li class="badge-div"][icon]1[/icon]Business schooling. A degree in business is great and an MBA is impressive, I've just never seen it correlate to business success. I prefer folks who have lots and lots of on-the-ground experience.[/li]

[li class="badge-div"][icon]2[/icon]Business successes. Some have 'em and some don't. I'm more interested in how many instructive failures each coach has experienced -- and are they still coming back for more after the sting of defeat?[/li]

[li class="badge-div"][icon]3[/icon]Know-it-alls. Here at Micro-business Fanatic, we're an opinionated bunch. I know I certainly am. But the Number One opinion I'm looking for in myself and in our coaches is this whopper: "Whatever I think I know now, it's probably gonna change sometimes soon." So, feel free to educate your coach (or me) if we get out into left field.[/li]
