Businesses That Rock


 

Tiffanie and Daren Gisseman loved boxers probably more than people should love dogs.  When showing her dogs in shows, there were no sanitary boundaries between Tiffanie and her boxers.  I won’t go into detail, but let’s just say that whatever was in the dog’s mouth was welcome in hers, should the need arise.  But boxers weren’t just a passion for the couple, they were a micro-business that was booming.  Would the Gissemans find themselves love-blind when it came to making tough business decisions?

 

We tend to think of Las Vegas as the land of sin-creation.  Jared and Natalie Allen are turning that notion on-its-head with their hot little business, SyncCreation.

Can you use “good vibrations” to win at the dice-rolling game of craps?  According to Dr. Joe Gallenberger, good vibrations can make you a winner at everything in life.  Using “peak mental states” to win at games of chance is a pretty interesting notion, but Jared and Natalie are doing something more interesting than that, even, in the world of micro-business.

Do people care if their photographer bares her soul?  Do they give a damn where she travels and what she thinks about life, death and The Office TV show?  Apparently, they do give a damn.

He works three or four days a week, makes $120K a year and has a flexible schedule with tons of time to play.

Is this the job of some high-paid executive consultant?  Nope.  He’s a carpet cleaner and he’s rocking it!

What does it take to rock a business that most people wouldn’t want to do? John Spears is thorough.  He’s uber-friendly.  And, he’s one hell of a marketer.

Late last year, the Mack brothers wondered out loud if they could keep their little Hawaiian restaurant open another month.  Just one year later, they’ve opened a second, larger restaurant, both restaurants are packed to the gills and they’re looking for a third location.  How did they pull it off?
